Fall fun local events
Fall is a wonderful time of year in Pawleys Island for family fun and community events, from trick or treating to outdoor fall festivals. At Coastal Chevrolet Cadillac Nissan, we believe that providing and participating in safe local events is the best way to spend the fall season. We hold our very own Safe Place for Halloween Event in participation with the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Department and look forward to seeing the community participates in all their costumes. The ‘trick or treat’ event will take place in the Coastal dealership’s parking lot on October 31 from 4:00pm to 6:30pm. There are many other great local events in our area this autumn that offer safe ways to make lasting family memories this season.
If fresh delicious seafood is more your idea of a ‘treat’, check out the Murrells Inlet Oyster Roast on Saturday, November 9 at the Wicked Tuna in Murrells Inlet. Rain or shine, this event offers all-you-can-eat-oysters for $36. Make sure to bring your own oyster knife to shuck away ‘til your heart’s desire or you can purchase one at the event. There will be drinks and other food available as well and admission is free. The world is your oyster, come shuck it!
On November 2 at 7:00pm, come give your ears a treat and listen to your favorite Broadway songs at the Waccamaw High School Auditorium. We are honored to have Ciaran Sheehan, who has played the masked star of “The Phantom of the Opera” more than a 1,000 times, perform as this event which benefits the CHRSC kids in our community. In addition, the Kevin Jones Performing Arts Studio and CHRSC after school kids will follow with additional great entertainment. This is another celebration not to be missed this fall, hosted by Carolina Human Reinvestment, whose aim is to foster “a healing environment of growth, empowerment, and unlimited potential for at-risk youth and families.”
For those family members 21 and older, Brew at the Zoo is a local favorite that offers more than 30 craft beer tastings. Engage in Cornhole and other yard games as you listen to the sounds of The Paul Grimshaw Band and sample from various food trucks for a tasty treat. This event will be held on Saturday, November 2nd from 5:30-8:30 pm at Lowcountry Zoo and tickets are required. Come along as a designated driver and received $25 off your ticket!
Want to enjoy the beautiful autumn weather while helping out some furry friends in need this fall? Join Coastal Chevrolet, Cadillac and Nissan for Sunday Funday with the Saints at Big Tuna in Georgetown. Local eats and an open bar, live music from the Dave Landeo Band and participation from the Saint Frances’ Saints is the perfect way to have fun and help our community at the same time. The evening will benefit our local animal shelter whose mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for abandoned and mistreated dogs and cats until they can be placed in loving homes.
