South Carolina State Fair Celebrating 150 Years
The South Carolina State Fair is a local self-sustaining, non-profit organization, which has donated over $3 million in scholarships for SC students since 1997. The fair is located at 1200 Rosewood Drive Columbia, SC and is jam-packed with food, fun, competitions, live music and more! Our state fair is open from Wednesday, October 9 to Sunday, October 20, hours may vary so make sure to check out the website for up to date calendars before heading over to the fair.
Plan Your Visit
Purchase your tickets in advance and save! Fair admission is $7 in advance through October 8, $10 during the fair, $1 on opening day (October 9) – pay at fairgrounds. Military and 0 -5 years old are FREE. Seniors (55 and older) are $7 – pay at the fairgrounds.
Ride vouchers are available in advance for $25, $30 during fair and $35 on Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Parking is $5, cash only. All parking fees help support the State Fair scholarship program.
You will not want to miss the animals, rides, crafts & art, flower shows, food, agriculture, and livestock. Head over to the Commerford Zoo to pet the animals, Sandscapes are on display as artists transform huge piles of sand into creative wonders, plus FOLKFabulous quilting, music, hands-on crafts, and workshops. The South Carolina State Fair is sure to have something for everyone to enjoy!
Free circus performances daily at 2:30 pm, 5:00 pm, and 7:30 pm. Enjoy Silks Performers, High Wire Acts, The Globe of Death, The Wheel of Destiny and much more!
If live music is what you love to find a performer at one of the 3 popular stages including Pepsi Place, South Gate Stage or Main Street Stage. Some popular shows include Tokyo Joe, Tribute to Tom Petty, Sweet Potato Pie, The Restoration, and Warrick McZeke just to name a few.
